age pension, it doesn't matter which way you became a permanent resident, I mean either contributory visa or parent visa ( which normally takes more than 10 years waiting time) , you have to live in Australia for 10 years based on current policy. the time when you were holding temporary visa doesn't count, it starts from the date when you became a permanent resident and if you got your permanent resident visa overseas then it starts to count from the date you came to Australia. the time you go overseas (after you live in Australia when holding permanent resident visa) will be deducted. Yes, five years has to b continued. That five years can be at any period, as long as it is continued five years, the other five years can be accumulated. Strictly speaking, you can't spend even one day overseas in that continued five years. |
