1. Yes you can do interest only for 10 years, Westpac is in fact now allowing up to 15 years interest only. After that, your loan will be switched back to principle & interest repayment for the next 20 years, unless you apply for an extension on interest only. So you don't have to pay back the principle after 10 years.

3.the higher your marginal tax rate is, the more deduction you can get.
4.No FHOG for investment property.
5.It depends. But remember you can only get FHOG once, when you buy your first property to live in more than 6 months. |
