关于小学生请长假的问题，谢谢！

因为家庭的原因准备回国一年，我家小朋友需要向学校请一年的假，我准备写一封比较正式的请假信给小学，现有如下问题：

1、小学生请假应该不是说take one year leave吧? 那用英文应该怎么说才合适呢？
2、他这样请假会不会影响学校的attendence rate呢？大家有这方面的经验吗？
3、请假的流程应该是怎么样的呢？向老师请假，还是校长？

注：我们小孩读公校，不涉及学费的问题。

这是我们学校的规定:

Leave - If a child will be absent from school
for any reason other than an illness (e.g. for
an extended holiday) then permission must be
obtained from either:
• School Principal – for absences totalling
up to 50 days in a twelve month period
for any one student. A letter, detailing
the reason for the request for exemption
from school should be sent to the
Principal and classroom teacher prior to
a child taking leave.
• School Education Director – for
absences totalling up to 100 days in a
twelve month period for any one
student. Forms must be obtained from
the school office and completed prior to
a child taking leave.

好像跟老师说一声就可以了，现在的公立学校里面，孩子来来去去很忙的。只要到时候你还住在学校划片的区域，学校一定会收的，除非是oc就不好说了。问问老师吧，没啥好纠结的。

上次儿子回国半年，我还是很正式地写一封信给校长，而且差不多提前两个月告诉学校的。
