contractor在临近合同时，应该如何和中介／雇主沟通合同是否续签呢？

还有一个月多点，第一个合同就要结束了。今天发邮件询问了中介，关于合同是否有updates，中介回复说We haven't heard anything just yet in regards to a  possible extension for you. We will follow this up and let you know how it goes.

想问问过来人，看这语气是就没可能续签了吧？ 是不是不应该主动问中介，要等中介主动问才对啊？

又要重新找工了，真烦呀

建议开找吧，中介这话跟没说一样，客套至极啊。

自己主动问。

我以前懒的中介，连合同到期都不通知我。合同过期一个月，我继续为公司工作，虽然后来合同是续了。

最有效就是问雇主，你的直接上司，或者HR部门如果你知道谁负责的。因为中介的消息是从雇主来的。

个人认为，没有任何负面的影响，是你应该的权益。

sorry I cant type in mandarin now.

situation is bit complicated.
Two persons made decision to hire me, one is tech leader T, the other is temp manager.  On my first day on board,  that temp manager was replaced by new manager M.  

Then the new manager M has gone after the holiday.  Now another new manager was assigned who has no idea about my performance in past couple of months.   The tech leader T will not be back until next week.   

It is right, just move on, don't think of extension anymore.  And maybe I can enquire tech leader one of the persons who hired me before....

totally lost...

不用太纠结究竟谁会make decision的，问最可能知道答案的人，如果他知道，他应该会告诉你，如果他不知道，他会告诉你应该找谁问。

而且续不续员工的合同，从公司角度而言，是要做计划的。

也就是说，通常情况下，他们也应该提前作出决定，到底要不要续contractor。

我以前也有过这样纠结的时候。内心很抗拒去找新工作，但agent迟迟不给答复。所以只能边准备resume，边等agent的消息。觉得不好意思问employer。

现在是，如果agent给不出答复，说什么will let you know ASAP，就直接问employer。
