Make sure that you provide all required supporting documentation with the AoS application
so that the application is not delayed.
Timeframe for AoS lodgement
The application should be lodged with Services Australia within 28 calendar days after you
are deemed to have received this letter.
As this letter was sent to you by email, you are taken to have received it at the end of the day
it was transmitted.
After potential assurer has lodged the AoS
Provide the following information to us within 28 days of your potential assurer lodging the
AoS application with Services Australia.
● The full name, date of birth and any Services Australia Customer Reference Number
(CRN) of all assurers.
● The place and lodgement date of the AoS and whether this was done electronically or
by paper.
Failure to provide this information may delay your visa application.
Contacting Services Australia
Information about the requirements for an assurer, and how to apply for an AoS, is available
on the Services Australia website www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/individuals/services/
centrelink/assurance-support
Advising the Department of Home Affairs of the Assurance of Support outcome
Once the AoS application is finalised, Services Australia will notify us directly of the outcome
and issue a decision letter to the assurer. If necessary, the assurer may be requested
to provide a scanned copy of the AoS acceptance letter issued by Services Australia as
evidence the AoS has been accepted. |
