Staff member at Myer online store tests positive
By Anthony Colangelo
A Myer staff member that worked at its closed Melbourne Highpoint store doing online fulfilment on May 11 has tested positive for coronavirus.
Myer notified health authorities and other staff in contact with the person as soon as they knew about the case. Those staff went into isolation.
“The health and wellbeing of our customers and team members is our absolute priority, so as soon as we were made aware of this case we enacted our COVID-19 protocols and suspended our fulfilment activities at the closed store, notified health officials immediately, and have advised associated team members to isolate and follow heath advice,” a Myer spokesman said.
“Despite having enhanced hygiene and safety measures in place, we are taking extra precautions and will be undertaking a deep clean and full sanitisation of the store before commencing fulfilment activities again.
“As our packing is being undertaken with increased hygiene and safety measures, customers can feel confident with any orders that have been, or will be, fulfilled from this store.
“Click and Collect” is not operating at Myer Highpoint until the deep clean and sanitisation is complete. |
