Help --- transfered in AUD, but received in USD~~~

anyone can help me?

i transfered AUD from CommonWealth Netbank to Bank of China, but USD received in China.
does anyone know what happened? or why is this?

That is the way they do. They convert AUD to USD and send. (paopaobing(58))

it's very normal that a teller in a bank branch make this kind of stupid mistake! or perhaps someone did the wrong thing during the transaction. if you did send AUD to China and you have the evidence to show that you instructed the bank to send it, the bank needs to bear whatever cost associated with this mistaken transaction. but if you do not hv any evidence, well, bad luck...or maybe when USD goes higher exchange it back to AUD in China and you can make a quid on it...

no. it's not a mistake of CBA.
CBA do not tranfer any money in AUD.

if your acct in china is not AUS$ acct then it will  transfer to US dollar

plus CBA charge you nearly 60 bucks for every transfer

that's right. it doesn't matter what currency you wanted to transfer, if your a/c in china is not AUD a/c. you'll not able to receive the money in AUD.

I was informed by a CBA staff when I tried to transfer money back to china.

I checked with CBA twice yesterday, they comfire me that they did transfer in AUD to BOC.
My parents also checked with BOC. They tracked down and find out that the money is from citibank NewYork(what's the business with citibank???) in USD. and the bank also comfirmed that they didn't change the currency themselves.

I remember the SWIFT CODE given by BOC has finished with another irrelative string, which contains "US" inside. Don't know whether this causes the problem. anyway, should be more careful next time.

btw, international transfer fee in BOC:
                         In cash: $30 + 1/1000 * transfer amount (normally received in 24 working hours)
                         with check: $30 (normally received in 4 working days)
        international transfer fee in CBA:
                         NetBank: $22;  In Branch: $28
