Example
(i) 2 pensioners (A & B) sign a contract to purchase a house for $630,000, each person’s interest in the purchase is $315,000. Transfer is fully exempt from duty as each pensioner’s share did not exceed $330,000.
(ii) Person A, who is an eligible pensioner and Person B who is not an eligible pensioner each purchase 50% of a property valued at $600,000. Person A is fully exempt as his/her 50% interest in the property is less than the threshold. Person B is liable to duty of $15,535. (Being 50% of the duty on $600,000 which is $31,070).
这里所说的pensioner只是其中一个例子,我之前问过sro的人,他们回复是只要符合他们网站上所列的health care card,金额也合规定就能申请stamp duty 全免的,不一定是pensioner老人家,也可以是healthcare card 持有者的concession。

有很多过户师和律师不知到有这个规定的,所以如果自己符合相关条件,可以去sro申请退印花税的。 |
