We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our busy Accounting team. The Account Assistant will be responsible for verifying and posting accounts receivable transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records by following established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc. Preparation of bank deposits and other bank related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and receipts cash items and third party payments; posts and reconciles payments to ledger
Review credit balances, refunds, adjustments, and claim denials; reconciles, corrects, and applies adjustments to billing record
Debt Collection
Resolves credit balances and account problems
Contact customers in relation to overdue accounts
Balance daily batches and reports
Preparation of deposits for banking purpose
Prepare regular reports and summaries of accounting activities
Reconciliation receivable to ledgers
Respond to customer queries
Verify banking transactions and report irregularities to management accounts
Maintains logs, enters and balances account data, and generate statistical summary reports as required
Performs a variety of general clerical duties when required to assist the finance department
Experience and Qualifications:
Certificate IV in accounting or bookkeeping qualification gained in Australia
Minimum 12 months experience in Accounts Receivable
Languages:English, Cantonese/Mandarin
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Sound negotiation and customer service skills
Proficient in using MS Office applications - Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience in accounting software such as Pronto and Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage
Team player
