Ansell shares are down 18 per cent and on track for their biggest one-day fall since 1987.
The condom and rubber glove maker said underlying full-year profit grew 20 per cent - sounds good - but then warned that adverse foreign exchange rates will hit its bottom line in the year ahead, which is likely what sent its shares plunging.
The Melbourne-based firm reports in US dollars and warned of "significant uncertainty" about economic conditions due to potential foreign exchange volatility.
It said it expected earnings per share of between $1.05 and $1.20 in the 2015-16 financial year, down from $1.22 in 2014-15.

Just P& D, In my humble opinion, Ansell's bussiness is much better than JB Hi Fi.

JBH price jumped more than 10% to $21.69.

Ansell says underlying profit jumps 20pc, thanks to growth in China

Condom and rubber glove make Ansell has posted a 20 per cent underlying profit surge, slightly beating analysts' estimates.

The company's underlying net profit for the 12 months ended June 30 rose to $US188 million ($254 million) from underlying profit of $US157 million a year earlier. Analysts had expected $US185.4 million according to Bloomberg.




Sales in Ansell's sexual wellness business unit, which accounts for 13 per cent of total revenue, grew 2 per cent. This was mainly thanks to SKYN, which increased 16 per cent, and "a significantly improved performance by latex brands, particularly in China", Mr Nicolin said.

这么一说的话确实是被“套”牢了。

主要是汇率造成盈利下降了（澳元对欧元和美元的弱势），而且如果汇率一直保持在目前水平（很大机会，美联储下月加息，和澳洲目前经济的低迷），那么2016年将有EBIT3千万美元的收入减少。Ansell 错误估计美国经济复苏的增长，也导致业绩未达预期理想，不过他们相信2016年美国和欧洲经济增长会让销售好转。还有俄罗斯和巴西这2个市场的销售下跌了30%，但印度，东南亚，墨西哥和非洲的销售增长抵消了这些不利影响，在中国销售的Skyn增长了16%，但分析师预计其盈利会下降至每股$1.21,Ansell 自己预计2016年每股盈利$1.05-$1.2，半年业绩公布后Ansell这几天估计持续下跌
