THE MUSHROOM PLACE

We are currently recruiting for 2 x roles, and have several positions available:

• MUSHROOM HARVESTERS – Full Training will be provided
o Must be punctual & reliable.
o Must work well in a team environment
o Must be physically fit & able to perform safe manual handling duties & working at heights
o Picking mushrooms from the growing beds & sorting them in punnets & boxes.
o Grading mushrooms
o Good communication skills required
o 8 week training program provided
o Accredited Food Processing/Food Safety training will be offered
o Full time hours available
o Great earning potential on top of weekly wages as we pay bonuses according to kilos picked weekly


• MUSHROOM GROWING ROOM RUNNER /FACTORY HAND – REQUIRES PHYSICALLY FIT INDIVIDUAL
• Providing assistance to the mushroom harvesters
• Communication with harvesters and supervisors relating to packaging requirements
• Making cartons & cardboard trays
• Erecting black plastic crates
• Stacking full cartons on pallets
• Cleaning, washing & sweeping corridors & growing rooms
• Running in & out of growing rooms collecting mushroom cartons from harvesters (3-4kg cartons)
• Moving product from growing rooms to packing & cool rooms
• Moving product quickly and efficiently from growing room using safe manual handling methods
• Cleaning harvesters’ trolleys & growing room
• Cleaning general work areas
• Ad hoc general factory duties as required
• Fork lift license an advantage Accredited Food Processing/Food Safety training provided
• Full time hours available

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK MONDAY TO SUNDAY, 6 day flexible roster
Must have full working rights in Australia.
