Job description
Sinoboom Australia is an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) business that is new to the market. Sinoboom has been a manufacturer of EWP’s for 13 years and is expanding its footprint in the Australian market. With a full range of electric scissors and booms, we are looking to grow our team from the ground up and make Sinoboom Australia well known, regarded and successful.



The Role
We are looking for a Workshop Technician to take the lead in growing our service team in Melbourne on a full-time basis. Based in Hallam, this position offers the opportunity to begin from the ground up, implementing processes and procedures to ensure a well-run service department in the years to come. As the team leader, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining all branch assets, as well as:

Maintaining safe operating conditions of all equipment in accordance with the manufacturers' requirements and Australian Standards
Fault diagnoses and rectification of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic service-related issues
Conducting all 'Pre-Delivery Inspections' on all equipment prior to delivery, addressing any mechanical or safety issues
Carrying out 90-day inspections and annual services in the workshop
Arranging manufacturer assistance for any complex breakdowns or part replacements; and
Updating and maintaining service schedules & stock controls of internal stock holdings.


Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

Trade qualified – mechanical, hydraulic, fitter and / or auto electrical
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
High attention to detail
EWP and/or Cranes experience highly regarded.
EWP and forklift license is preferred but not essential.
