老板最近叫我写封信通知客户新一期的产品涨价，我想写"因为原材料涨价和澳币汇率走低关系，某某产品批发价将有所调高"请问各位筒子这句话怎么说专业点，能说The price of this product has been raised subject to the weak australian currency in the last few month and higher cost of the material to us.有更好的表达方法没有，望各位筒子赐教，万分感激啊

不要提汇率的事情，太过具体了，而且汇率变动很大，要不然汇率调回的时候客户可能会以此要求降价。

Dear xx customer

we regret to inform you that we have to raise the price of xxx, effective from 20/May/2009. Enclosed pls find out the price list for your order.

As a quality supplier to your business for some time now, we require your understanding over the extreme circumstances we now face. We have avoid raising our price as long as possible , however, the recent increase in raw material cost is out-with our control. I trust you will be willing to support us with the new prices. However, any orders placed before the effective day will be honored at the lower prices.

But you have to be careful not to use acronyms instead of complete words

pls = please

Also, you can try substituting 'avoid' -> 'mitigate'

Keep the grammar tense in past tense
