买的Medibank的旅游保险,在老公试裤子的时候,让服务员拿个大点的Size,然后挂在试衣间的相机包被偷了,申请了索赔,可Medibank说我们item left unattended,不赔,老公换要服务员换裤子前后都不到2分钟,我还在外面站着,那要怎么样才算是attended呢?感觉他们有些强辞夺理。

Medibank的信如下,大神们能帮帮忙支支招吗?

We note that you have submitted a claim for stolen luggage.
We have given careful consideration to your claim based on the information you have provided and regret that your claim has not been approved. For your reference we have included below policy wording from the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) provided to you when your policy was issued.
Policy wording
Under the heading “Words with Special Meanings” it states:
““Public Place” means shops, airports, streets, hotel foyers and grounds, restaurants, beaches,
private car parks and any place the public has access to.”
Under the heading “SECTION 4: Luggage and Personal Effects” it states:
“We Will Not Pay For:
7. Items left unattended in a Public Place.”
How we reached our decision
When assessing your claim, we review all the facts of the case and the supporting information available with consideration to the cover provided by the policy you purchased. We are committed to assessing claims fairly and adopt the General Insurance Code of Practice developed by the Insurance Council of Australia.
When your husband left the bag in the fitting room and went to ask the seller for another pair of jeans he was not able to keep the bag under observation, was not in a position to observe any attempt by anyone to interfere with the bag and was not so placed as to have a reasonable prospect of preventing any unauthorised interference with it. Consequently, we consider that your bag had been left unattended at the time of loss and that the policy exclusion applies

Can I have my claim reviewed or lodge a complaint?
If you believe we are not entitled to deny your claim according to the policy wording as outlined or
have a complaint about our handling of your claim, you should contact us by phone, email, post or fax
(details below). Please tell us how and why you believe your claim has been incorrectly assessed or
the basis of your complaint. If you have further information to provide please let us know.
We will consider the facts, taking into account any new information given to us if applicable, and respond
to you within 15 business days provided we have all the information we require. If we need more
information or more time to investigate and respond properly to the complaint, we will contact you.

去medibank网站下载claim表 填完邮寄,不确定就打热线电话,在你旅行保险的卡片上有number

需要警察局的report,遗失物品的收据,填表。我之前问是这么操作,但没实际验证过
