Has anyone purchased the Swallow Apollo Pram and if so, did you like or dislike? I am finding it difficult to find a reliable 4 wheel pram that I like. I was keen on the Steelcraft Acclaim but have read very poor reviews.
Thanks for any assistance.
Regards,
Ruth

Hi,
I have one and the things I like about it are:
The large basket underneath is easy to use
Reversible handle
Not too heavy (11kg) for lifting in and out of the car.
Comes with sunshade and foot muff
I can open it and close it one-handed
Automatic folding lock
The price - $229 (approx 20 months ago)
It was Choice's number one pick for safety etc
Even after 18 months of regular use it is still in excellent condtion. No signs of wearing/ tearing.
Thing I didn't like:
They only had one colour (grey/black) when I bought mine - but not overly important in the grand scheme of things.
HTH

Thanks Littlered

Overall, I do like mine for many reasons - decent sized basket, window thing on top of hood so you can check on baby, detachable boot cover, not too heavy, design (mine is blue/maroon with puppies on it).
However, there are negatives -
:it often jams up when I try to fold it down,
:if I use the reversible handle feature, I actually find it harder to push,
:you often have to lift up main part of pram (where baby is) to access basket,
:it only goes in two positions - baby lying flat, or baby sitting upright - there's no in-between position.
: you can't attach a toddler seat to it

Just so you know... a tip I got on this site when I bought my Apollo
At the top of the seat is a flap of material (sort of double thickness) if you fold this flap, back over the seat, it will hold the seat in a semi reclined position. I used this for DS when he was 'neither up nor down!!' and it never fell out of position or anything, so its sturdy enough.
I hope you can make sense of what I'm saying!
