Demographic Environment of Australia

One of the major macroenvironment forces marketers should care is the  Demographic. Many peers here are businesswomen or businessmen, shall we outline the characteristics of Australian population? This surely helps us to conduct our business here (unfortunately, I didn't do my home work when I started my business a     couple of years ago.) It also helps householders to buy a house.

"...the current standard of living (as determined by the WWF's Living Planet Report 2002), the optimum population for Australia is 10 million (rather than our present 20.4 million) and at a lower standard of living, it is 21 million."

谢谢参与. 那个环境组织的确给出此结论. 但不知政府为什么鼓励生育,即使今天已经面临水,可耕地,石油资源的短缺?

目前五年内, 还是20-23M 的盘子. 但十年后,可能会变小,如果上述资源的问题依然存在. 还有一个变数是全球经济. 如仍火, COMMODITIES 的需求仍大, 现在澳大利亚火的经济会维持,需要多的人力资源.估计再挖很多年没问题.

..............If AU build the high level Appartments instead of house/unit/flat, then only SYD & MEL can content 20M people.............If China's living building standard are as same as Au's then there are only suitable for less than 100M peole.

The low living standard in <WWF's Living Planet Report 2002> might means topest  level living standard in China.
