Carpe diem is a phrase from a Latin poem by Horace that has become an aphorism.
It is popularly translated as "seize the day".
I learned this word from the movie "Dead Poets Society". It is an old movie and very inspirational. I learned a lot from it.

Chinese and Australian mixed style is my favorite.
Mom always told me to wear dress + skirt more like a lady.So I have a lot of skirts both long & short,thick & thin.
My favourite is cool summer style.I have a red/orange plaid skirt that I really like,
It looks more a canyon color than red, which I want to wear with a pink light sweater and black heels.
Black shoes don't sound a good choice though. Any light colored ones will be better than black，
the black color might be a little bit gloomy in  comparison with the other part.
I will wear my light brown heels.I am hoping it will look playful and fun but not too attention seeking

I lost my voice，Silence, silence is golden.Well, if I  can choose, I don't want silence, I don't care Golden or not.
I almost  visited a doctor due to flu. My body should be able to take care of it.
It generally takes a week or so for a full recovery.I can live with that.
I am doing OK with the current my tasks. As a terrible multi-tasker,
just wish I could have 2+ bodies so that I can play/learn/work freely in both the virtual world and the reality.

A work colleague I saw her couple of times at work. Smile and nod were we usually greeting each other.

Recapping for this 7 month, there seems to be nothing spectacular and nothing stands out to catch my attention.
What I treasure most from my reading activity is not the satisfaction from the accomplishment of the my projects,
but the valuable infromation that I received from the activity and from the books that I read.
There's treasure in books and there's happiness in books.
2017 is a very busy year.I still have a lot of expectations for the remaining months of 2017.
As usual, some may come true and some may not be realised. It's ok. I just like to dream.
There is one interesting experiment in which the olympic athletes are asked to imagine that they are runing on the track .
The experiment surprisingly revealed that the devices hooked to their bodies show that their muscles fired just as if they are competing in the field. This tells me that if you think about it, if you dream about it, you can achieve it .
It's time take a break……

The poet uses fire and ice as a metaphor for hatred and desire.
If you replace the words fire and ice with hatred and desire,
it would help you better understand the poet’s mind: which one is stronger in this world – desire or hatred,
hence he holds with those who favor hatred would ruin the world. The philosophy behind it is that fire and
ice contradicts each other and if fire destroys ice and ice destroys fire, it would suffice.

I have learnt to leave the negative things behind and take instead the positive things that will do me good.
I don't worry about what I can't change because time is ticking every second we blink...those are moments that form our present,time that quickly becomes our past. I am concerned and moved by the actions we display that I put in action into the now...so the now becomes my future. I have learnt to be positive somehow...although it's not an easy challenge.

I am not perfect, I am far from it. These are weaknesses that make us humans,weak,
souls wrapped in bone and skin that are Meant to live in the company of another being who cares about us,
who tells us when and why we are doing things wrong,who tells us when we did something right,
someone who praises us when we do extraordinary things. These are not just words...
