PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

We are looking for a fulltime Production Assistant. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Assistant is responsible for providing professional support. They will need to be highly organized with the ability to prioritise and balance multiple demands. The Production Assistant is required to have the ability to establish strong working relationships with suppliers, team members and other departments within the organization.
The successful applicant will:
        Ideally come from a fashion background
        You must have 1-2 years solid experience in purchasing and production
        Mandarin Language essential
        Have the ability to negotiate FOB prices and an understanding of the cost of China manufacturing
        Work under pressure and take directions well
        Must have high attention to detail
        Must be experienced in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Key Responsibilities:
        Work closely with sales department and monitor the progress of each style/order from the placement, pricing, sampling, production, packaging through to delivery
        Build and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers
        Liaise with freight forwarders and couriers to monitor shipments
        Process shipping documents and validate customs documents
        Liaise with warehouse personnel regarding all delivery and packaging materials
        Assist in collating information for the accounts department

Whilst the core hours are a 39 hour week, it is recognised that you must be flexible in regard to working some extra hours during peak times.

Salary based on experience
