The funeral of Jane McGrath, who died at her Sydney home on Sunday after an 11-year battle with cancer, is under way.

Under a cloudless blue sky, the mourners arrived at the historic Garrison Church at The Rocks for the memorial.

Glenn McGrath arrived at the church in a black car about 11.20am.

Dressed in a dark suit and wearing a dark blue tie, he was greeted by Mrs McGrath's best friend, Tracey Bevan, at the entrance to the church.

Alongside him were his two children, James, 8, and Holly, 6.

He entered the church holding hands with his two children.

A number of McGrath's former teammates entered the church, including Steve Waugh, Shane Warne, Andy Bichel, Matthew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist, Mark Waugh and Gavin Robertson. Also present was Michael Bevan, husband of Tracey.

Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland and former national coach John Buchanan also arrived.

Broadcaster Alan Jones is in attendance, as is Andrew Denton, who interviewed the McGraths for his television show Enough Rope last year.

Television host Rove McManus, who lost his wife Belinda Emmett to cancer in 2006, also arrived.

Mrs McGrath, who was 42, had supported Emmett.

The Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, who was wearing a pink ribbon, is among the mourners, as is the Federal Opposition Leader Brendan Nelson.

The road outside the church has been closed to the traffic.

Eulogies were to be given by Jones and Mrs Bevan, while Kellie Hayden, the wife of Test opener Hayden, was to read from the Book of Timothy.
