Inner-city high school students can ward-off winter boredom by taking part in one of the many day-long activities in the City of Sydney’s fun and low-cost school holiday program.
The range of outings, from 29 June to 10 July, includes a free comedy show, Kids’ Party Confidential, by Sean Murphy, who is taking the performance to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Mr Murphy said the show had already proved a success at the 2015 Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy festivals, and last year’s Sydney Fringe Festival.
“Kids’ Party Confidential is a comedy show for everyone who has braved presents, piñatas and purple-face and come out the other side,” Mr Murphy said.
“This fiesta sees me and my Mexicano alter-ego dish dirt on the children’s entertainment industry to delight teens who remember it like yesterday”

Lord Mayor Clover Moore said the school holiday program was devised by the City in consultation with young Sydneysiders.
“Our City Spaces team works hard to ensure the school holiday program provides a diverse range of activities, making sure there is something for everyone,” the Lord Mayor said.
“The program is always popular and has limited places, so parents and carers need to book places early.
“To make attendance even easier for busy families, the City has arranged several convenient pick-up and drop-off spots around the city”
