这个其实是很复杂的,我也希望有人来指正。parental leave是联邦的法,但fair work act 继续保留了州下面的一些立法,如long service leave就属于州法范围的benefit,它的计算及是否cash out等等要看各州自己的法律。 例如victoria就是在paid parental leave期间LSL还继续accrue的。 有些雇主在政府的benefit上提供paid parental leave,这些也有可能会产生LSL的accrual的, 以前打过电话问NSW的人员,答复也基本如此(虽然我问的人也不能100%肯定地说一定accrue).

Does time spent on leave count toward continuous employment for the purpose of accruing long service leave?
Most forms of paid and unpaid leave, except unpaid parental leave, will count toward the period of employment. Although unpaid parental leave will not count, any paid parental leave will count toward employment.
