About the role:
The Hardware Tools Engineer is the technical lead for all tools supporting the hardware environment for the product solution and drives the roadmap for the realisation of the Hardware Deployment and Integration Tools Engineering environment.
The HDI Tools engineering environment is used by deployment, hardware integration, and software integration engineers to undertake the engineering tasks required for the delivery of products and projects both in factory and on site, through acquisition and support.
Key responsibilities:
The Hardware Tools Engineer is responsible for the provision of the following capabilities within the HDI team.
Provision of business improvement and program support for hardware tools:
Provision of technical leadership, coaching and mentoring within the HDI team and the broader engineering community on hardware tools suite application and use.
Responsible for ensuring that the impact of changes to the hardware tools environment have been appropriately assessed and evaluated according to established management processes.
Key skills and experience:
Engineering degree Business Systems or Business Applications (or equivalent industry exp)
Extensive experience in deploying and maintaining applications
Operating Systems (Linux/Unix)
Scripting (Perl / Korn)
Configuration Management
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
High level of system and software engineering skills and information technology knowledge. |
