This refers to your email inquiring about the visa requirements in Macao.
Holders of a valid Chinese passport with a valid residence document or visa of a third country or region are entitled to visa-free transit through Macao and 7-day Authorization to Stay. In other words, they do not need to apply for an entry visa to come to Macao.
Our immigration officers at the border checkpoint check the visitors’ residence document or visa of a third country or region. Visitors who do not meet the requirements can be refused entry to Macao.
If the transiting passenger did not use Macao International Airport and travel to other country within 30 days, when re-entering Macao under the same criteria, 2-day Authorization to Stay will be given and can be refused to enter at the third time.
